Zippo Founder's Day Web Exclusive Collectible
99.00 €
Zippo founder George G. Blaisdell designed his lighters to be both beautiful and reliable, and the first decorating technique was developed shortly after Zippo was founded in 1932.
This trio of Scottish terriers was among the first artwork ever to appear on a Zippo lighter. The Etch Paint method, developed soon after Zippo was founded in 1932, could reproduce simple as well as complex images with many colors and quickly which established Zippo's lasting tradition of original artwork as well as custom designs. Etch Paint would eventually evolve into the tried and true Color Image process that Zippo uses today.
Using a combination of our Luster and Color Image processes, this Founder's Day Web Exclusive Collectible Zippo lighter model in honor of its founder's birthday features the iconic Scottie design next to our 90th anniversary logo on a 1935 Brushed Chrome model Replica. The cap commemorates June 5th as Founder's Day and the back of the lighter highlights Zippo's history.
Each lighter is consecutively numbered and includes a decorative stamp on the bottom.
