Teslacigs AT Starter Kit
20.00 €
AT starter mod is tiny. It is one of the smallest mods I own and is not a true pod mod. It's just 52mm tall, not including the tank and drop-tip, just 41mm wide and 22mm thick. When you hold it in your hand, it's not much bigger than a Zippo lighter and feels heavy and substantial like one. It uses what is often referred to as a side-by-side configuration in which the tank sits side by side with the battery. In many devices it helps to reduce the overall height as the atomizer does not have to sit on top of the battery. Speaking of batteries, the AT Starter Kit has an internal 900 mAh battery which in this small device lasts quite a while. Of course this will vary depending on the coils you pair it with, and since this is a direct output device, your experience may drop a bit as the battery level drops.

Description
At the top of the device is a hole that your tank sits in. The atomizer is held in place by a magnetic connection and the accompanying tank fits with a magnetic base. There are also notches on the bottom of the tank that line up with notches on the mod to lock it in place and keep it from rotating. Unfortunately the base is proprietary so you cannot use the mod or tank with any other device or vaporizer. I would like to see a 510 threaded adapter that would allow you to use the mod with other tanks, or the tank to have a threaded base so you can use it with other devices, but as it stands you'll be stuck using the tank that came with the kit A small window on either side of it lets you see how much liquid is left in your tank. One thing to watch out for is when it pops into the tank it sometimes doesn't line up quite right and you have to turn and wiggle it to lock it in place or it won't connect to the mod. When it first arrived I thought there was a problem with it, but after a bit of fiddling I was able to make the connection.
On one side of the device is the Teslacigs logo and just below is the micro USB port for charging. When tested it charged around 0.7A and took just over an hour to fully charge. On the outer edge of the device is a dark plastic fire button that lights up when pressed and when charging. Aside from some CE markings on the bottom, it's a pretty unremarkable little device that feels good and feels very solid in the hand.
The AT tank that comes with the kit is also very compact. It is approximately 38mm tall, not including the drop tip, and only 18mm in diameter. It is made of stainless steel and the 510 drip tip that comes with the kit is also made of metal to match the look of the tank. It's quite comfortable and the device doesn't tend to get hot so I was comfortable using what it came with.
It only holds about 1.5ml of liquid, but it's equipped with 1ohm coils and is intended for low-power, high-end vaping, so 1.5ml tends to last quite a while. It's a fairly standard tank with three small holes in the bottom on each side that provide airflow. There's no way to customize it though, so what you give is what you get. By default it gives a pretty loose mouth to the lung beat. It is bottom fill and the fill is a bit old and requires you to unscrew the tank from the base and fill it around the coil. As I mentioned it comes with a proprietary magnetic base so it can't be used with other mods that I know of. Luckily the coils it uses are Nautilus style, so at least you'll have options when it comes to coils.
